The first had been presented late In 1793 or early in 1794, but was replaced after the Buenos Aires campaign in 1808. '; however, there is no evidence of this on the 1808 stand. In 1830 the regiment requested permission to retain the use of the crown and harp, but no evidence of the original grant could be found .

Two of them adopted the badges of the two junior companies disbanded earlier; the other two adopted badges based upon the Royal cipher. In addition, all 52 four companies adopted a new badge of a strung bugle horn to indicate their function. 1 to 4) presumably adopted their own supplementary badge of a fired grenade around the same time.
